¹⁴ As ^(A)Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must ^(B)the Son of Man ^(C)be lifted up;

²⁸ So Jesus said, “When you ^(A)lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that ^[a](B)I am He, and ^(C)I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me.

³⁴ The crowd then answered Him, “We have heard out of ^(A)the Law that ^[a](B)the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, ‘The ^(C)Son of Man must be ^(D)lifted up’? Who is this ^(E)Son of Man?”
