2 this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “(A)Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these [a](B)signs that You do unless (C)God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one (D)is born [b]again he cannot see (E)the kingdom of God.”
4 Nicodemus *said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?”

3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.[a]”(E)
4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
