²⁴God is a Spirit and those that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

²⁵The woman said unto him, I know that the Messiah is to come, who is called the Christ; when he is come, he will declare unto us all things.

²⁶Jesus said unto her, I AM that speak unto thee.

John 4:24-26

²⁴God is spirit,^(A) and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

²⁵The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ)^(B) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”

²⁶Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”^(C)
