15 The man went away, and told (A)the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. 16 For this reason (B)the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath. 17 But He answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.”

15 The man went away and told the Jewish leaders(A) that it was Jesus who had made him well.
The Authority of the Son
16 So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. 17 In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father(B) is always at his work(C) to this very day, and I too am working.”
