³⁸And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

New International Version

³⁸nor does his word dwell in you,^(A) for you do not believe^(B) the one he sent.^(C)

¹⁰If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

¹⁰If we claim we have not sinned,^(A) we make him out to be a liar^(B) and his word is not in us.^(C)
