⁴⁴ How can you believe, when you ^(A)receive ^[a]glory from one another and you do not seek ^(B)the ^[b]glory that is from ^(C)the one and only God?

^43 (A)for they loved the ^[a]approval of men rather than the ^[b]approval of God.

⁵ Therefore ^(A)do not go on ^[a]passing judgment before ^[b]the time, but wait ^(B)until the Lord comes who will both ^(C)bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men’s hearts; and then each man’s ^(D)praise will come to him from God.

¹⁸ For it is not he who ^(A)commends himself that is approved, but he ^(B)whom the Lord commends.
