18 If I taught my own ideas, I would just be trying to get honor for myself. But if I am trying to bring honor to the one who sent me, I can be trusted. Anyone doing that is not going to lie. 19 Moses gave you the law, right? But you don’t obey that law. If you do, then why are you trying to kill me?”
20 The people answered, “A demon is making you crazy! We are not trying to kill you.”

18 Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory,(A) but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. 19 Has not Moses given you the law?(B) Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”(C)
20 “You are demon-possessed,”(D) the crowd answered. “Who is trying to kill you?”
