18 Those who teach their own ideas are trying to get honor for themselves. But those who try to bring honor to the one who sent them speak the truth, and there is nothing false in them. 19 Moses gave you the law,[a] but none of you obeys that law. Why are you trying to kill me?”
20 The people answered, “A demon has come into you. We are not trying to kill you.”

18 Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory,(A) but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. 19 Has not Moses given you the law?(B) Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”(C)
20 “You are demon-possessed,”(D) the crowd answered. “Who is trying to kill you?”
