^56 (A)Your father Abraham was ^(B)overjoyed that he would see My day, and he saw it and rejoiced.” ^57 (C)So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?” ⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham ^[a]was born, ^[b](D)I am.” ⁵⁹ Therefore they ^(E)picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus ^(F)hid Himself and left the temple grounds.

^30 (A)I and the Father are ^[a]one.”

³¹ The Jews ^(B)picked up stones again to stone Him. ³² Jesus replied to them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” ³³ The Jews answered Him, “We are not stoning You for a good work, but for ^(C)blasphemy; and because You, being a man, ^(D)make Yourself out to be God.”

⁶ Jesus *said to him, “I am ^(A)the way, and ^(B)the truth, and ^(C)the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.

Oneness with the Father

^7 (D)If you ^[a]had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you ^(E)know Him, and have ^(F)seen Him.”

^8 (G)Philip *said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” ⁹ Jesus *said to him, “Have I been with ^[b]you for so long a time, and yet ^[c]you have not come to know Me, Philip? ^(H)The one who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

⁶² The high priest stood up and said to Him, “Do You offer no answer for what these men are testifying against You?” ⁶³ But ^(A)Jesus kept silent. ^(B)And the high priest said to Him, “I ^(C)place You under oath by ^(D)the living God, to tell us whether You are the ^[a]Christ, ^(E)the Son of God.” ⁶⁴ Jesus *said to him, “^(F)You have said it yourself. But I tell you, from now on you will see ^(G)the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and ^(H)coming on the clouds of heaven.”

⁶⁵ Then the high priest ^(I)tore his ^[b]robes and said, “He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? See, you have now heard the blasphemy; ⁶⁶ what do you think?” They answered, “^(J)He deserves death!”
