The High Priestly Prayer

17 When Jesus had spoken these words, ^(A)he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, ^(B)the hour has come; ^(C)glorify your Son that the Son may ^(D)glorify you,

^13 (A)The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, ^(B)the God of our fathers, ^(C)glorified his servant^[a] Jesus, whom ^(D)you delivered over and ^(E)denied in the presence of Pilate, ^(F)when he had decided to release him.

⁵ So also Christ ^(A)did not exalt himself to be made a high priest, but was appointed by him who said to him,

¹⁷ For when he received honour and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, ^(A)“This is my beloved Son,^[a] with whom I am well pleased”,
