^14 (A)He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

^13 (A)By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. ¹⁴ And ^(B)we have seen and testify that ^(C)the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.

¹⁰ And ^(A)I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ^(B)“See that you do not do that! I am your ^(C)fellow servant, and of your brethren ^(D)who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the ^(E)testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

The Certainty of God’s Witness

⁶ This is He who came ^(A)by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. ^(B)And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.

²³ And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ ^(A)and love one another, as He gave ^[a]us commandment.

The Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Error

²⁴ Now ^(B)he who keeps His commandments ^(C)abides in Him, and He in him. And ^(D)by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

Love for God and One Another

4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but ^(E)test the spirits, whether they are of God; because ^(F)many false prophets have gone out into the world. ² By this you know the Spirit of God: ^(G)Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, ³ and every spirit that does not confess ^[b]that Jesus ^[c]Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

⁵ For we through the Spirit eagerly ^(A)wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

¹⁴ But ^(A)their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. ¹⁵ But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. ¹⁶ Nevertheless ^(B)when one turns to the Lord, ^(C)the veil is taken away. ¹⁷ Now ^(D)the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is ^(E)liberty. ¹⁸ But we all, with unveiled face, beholding ^(F)as in a mirror ^(G)the glory of the Lord, ^(H)are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as ^[a]by the Spirit of the Lord.

³ Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus ^[a]accursed, and ^(A)no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

^32 (A)This Jesus God has raised up, ^(B)of which we are all witnesses. ³³ Therefore ^(C)being exalted ^[a]to ^(D)the right hand of God, and ^(E)having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He ^(F)poured out this which you now see and hear.

³⁴ “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:

³⁶ “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
