^16 (A)For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten ^(B)Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

^36 (A)He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the ^(B)wrath of God abides on him.”

⁶ And he ^(A)believed in the Lord, and He ^(B)accounted it to him for righteousness.

Moses Intercedes for the People

¹¹ Then the Lord said to Moses: “How long will these people ^(A)reject^[a] Me? And how long will they not ^(B)believe Me, with all the ^[b]signs which I have performed among them?

⁴² “He ^(A)saved others; Himself He cannot save. ^[a]If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe ^[b]Him.

¹⁵ and saying, ^(A)“The time is fulfilled, and ^(B)the kingdom of God ^[a]is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

⁷ This man came for a ^(A)witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might ^(B)believe.

¹² But ^(A)as many as received Him, to them He gave the ^[a]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
