Jonah 1:13-15

13 The men rowed to reach dry land, but they couldn’t manage it because the sea continued to rage against them. 14 So they called on the Lord, saying, “Please, Lord, don’t let us perish on account of this man’s life, and don’t blame us for innocent blood! You are the Lord: whatever you want, you can do.” 15 Then they picked up Jonah and hurled him into the sea, and the sea ceased its raging.

13 Instead, the men did their best to row back to land. But they could not, for the sea grew even wilder than before.(A) 14 Then they cried out to the Lord, “Please, Lord, do not let us die for taking this man’s life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man,(B) for you, Lord, have done as you pleased.”(C) 15 Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm.(D)
