7 “When my soul fainted within me,
I remembered the Lord;
(A)And my prayer went up to You,
Into Your holy temple.

8 “Those who regard (B)worthless idols
Forsake their own [a]Mercy.
9 But I will (C)sacrifice to You
With the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay what I have (D)vowed.
(E)Salvation is of the (F)Lord.”

8 “Those who cling to worthless idols(D)
    turn away from God’s love for them.
9 But I, with shouts of grateful praise,(E)
    will sacrifice(F) to you.
What I have vowed(G) I will make good.
    I will say, ‘Salvation(H) comes from the Lord.’”
