Jonah 3:9-10

9 Who knows? God may relent and change his mind and turn from his blazing anger[a] so that[b] we will not perish.”

10 And God saw their deeds—that they turned from their evil ways—and God changed his mind about the evil that he had said he would bring upon them, and he did not do it.[c]

9 Who knows?(A) God may yet relent(B) and with compassion turn(C) from his fierce anger(D) so that we will not perish.”

10 When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented(E) and did not bring on them the destruction(F) he had threatened.(G)
