16 Then they answered Joshua, “Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.(A) 17 Just as we fully obeyed Moses, so we will obey you.(B) Only may the Lord your God be with you as he was with Moses. 18 Whoever rebels against your word and does not obey(C) it, whatever you may command them, will be put to death. Only be strong and courageous!(D)”

16 And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.
17 According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the Lord thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.
18 Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.
