¹⁸ Whoever rebels against your word and does not obey^(A) it, whatever you may command them, will be put to death. Only be strong and courageous!^(B)”

²⁵ Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous.^(A) This is what the Lord will do to all the enemies you are going to fight.”

² “I am about to go the way of all the earth,”^(A) he said. “So be strong,^(B) act like a man, ³ and observe^(C) what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper^(D) in all you do and wherever you go

¹³ Then you will have success^(A) if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws^(B) that the Lord gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous.^(C) Do not be afraid or discouraged.

²⁰ David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous,^(A) and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake^(B) you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.^(C)
