21 even all the cities of the plain and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses struck with the leaders of Midian, (A)Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba, the princes of Sihon, who lived in the land. 22 The sons of Israel also killed (B)Balaam the son of Beor, the diviner, with the sword among the rest of their slain. 23 And the border of the sons of Reuben was the [a]Jordan. This was the inheritance of the sons of Reuben according to their families, the cities and their villages.

New International Version
21 all the towns on the plateau(A) and the entire realm of Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled at Heshbon. Moses had defeated him and the Midianite chiefs,(B) Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba(C)—princes allied with Sihon—who lived in that country. 22 In addition to those slain in battle, the Israelites had put to the sword Balaam son of Beor,(D) who practiced divination.(E) 23 The boundary of the Reubenites was the bank of the Jordan. These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the Reubenites, according to their clans.(F)
