12 And the western border is to the Great Sea[a] and its coast. This is the border surrounding the descendants[b] of Judah according to their families.
13 According to the commandment of Yahweh to Joshua,[c] he gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh a plot of ground among the descendants[d] of Judah, Kiriath Arba,[e] which is Hebron (Arba was Anak’s father). 14 Caleb drove out from there three of Anak’s sons, Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants[f] of Anak.

These are the boundaries around the people of Judah by their clans.
13 In accordance with the Lord’s command to him, Joshua gave to Caleb(B) son of Jephunneh a portion in Judah—Kiriath Arba(C), that is, Hebron.(D) (Arba was the forefather of Anak.)(E) 14 From Hebron Caleb drove out the three Anakites(F)—Sheshai, Ahiman and Talmai,(G) the sons of Anak.(H)
