GOD’S WORD Translation
2 So he called all the leaders, chiefs, judges, and officers of Israel together. He said to them, “I am old, near the end of my life. 3 You have seen for yourselves everything the Lord your God did to all those nations. The Lord your God fought for you! 4 I have given you the territory of the nations that still remain as an inheritance for your tribes. This includes the territory of all the nations I have already destroyed from the Jordan River westward to the Mediterranean Sea.

2 summoned all Israel—their elders,(A) leaders, judges and officials(B)—and said to them: “I am very old.(C) 3 You yourselves have seen everything the Lord your God has done to all these nations for your sake; it was the Lord your God who fought for you.(D) 4 Remember how I have allotted(E) as an inheritance(F) for your tribes all the land of the nations that remain—the nations I conquered—between the Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea(G) in the west.
