5 And Yahweh your God will push them back before you[a] and drive them out of your sight,[b] and you will possess their land, just as Yahweh your God promised to you. 6 Be very strong to observe carefully all that is written in the scroll of the law of Moses so as not to turn aside from it, to the right or left, 7 so as not to go among these remaining nations with you; do not profess[c] the name of their gods, and do not swear by them, serve them, or bow down to them.[d]

5 The Lord your God himself will push them out(A) for your sake. He will drive them out(B) before you, and you will take possession of their land, as the Lord your God promised you.(C)
6 “Be very strong; be careful to obey all that is written in the Book of the Law(D) of Moses, without turning aside(E) to the right or to the left.(F) 7 Do not associate with these nations that remain among you; do not invoke the names of their gods or swear(G) by them. You must not serve them or bow down(H) to them.
