¹³ So I gave you a land^(A) on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant.’^(B)

²⁸ He has sent this message^(A) to us in Babylon: It will be a long time.^(B) Therefore build^(C) houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.’”

²⁶ They will live there in safety^(A) and will build houses and plant^(B) vineyards; they will live in safety when I inflict punishment^(C) on all their neighbors who maligned them. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.^(D)’”
