9 Then (A)Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, rose up and fought against Israel, and he sent messengers and summoned Balaam the son of Beor to curse you. 10 But I (B)was not willing to listen to Balaam. So he had to bless you, and I saved you from his hand. 11 (C)You crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho; and the citizens of Jericho fought against you, and (D)the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Girgashite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. Therefore (E)I handed them over to you.

9 When Balak son of Zippor,(A) the king of Moab, prepared to fight against Israel, he sent for Balaam son of Beor(B) to put a curse on you.(C) 10 But I would not listen to Balaam, so he blessed you(D) again and again, and I delivered you out of his hand.
11 “‘Then you crossed the Jordan(E) and came to Jericho.(F) The citizens of Jericho fought against you, as did also the Amorites, Perizzites,(G) Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites and Jebusites,(H) but I gave them into your hands.(I)
