Joshua 6:25-27

Amplified Bible

²⁵So Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her father’s household and everything that she had; and she has lived among Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers (scouts) whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

²⁶Then Joshua made them take an oath at that time, saying, “Cursed before the Lord is the man who rises up and rebuilds this city, Jericho; with the loss of his firstborn he shall lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he shall set up its gates.”^(A) ²⁷So the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame was in all the land.

Joshua 6:25-27

New International Version

²⁵But Joshua spared^(A) Rahab the prostitute,^(B) with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho^(C)—and she lives among the Israelites to this day.

²⁶At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath:^(D) “Cursed^(E) before the Lord is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho:

“At the cost of his firstborn son
he will lay its foundations;
at the cost of his youngest
he will set up its gates.”^(F)

²⁷So the Lord was with Joshua,^(G) and his fame spread^(H) throughout the land.
