25 But Joshua spared the lives of Rahab the prostitute and her father’s household and everyone who belonged to her, and she has lived within Israel to this day, because she hid the agents that Joshua sent to spy on Jericho.
26 At that time Joshua swore an oath:
Cursed before the Lord is the man who sets out to rebuild this city, Jericho.
At the cost of his firstborn he will lay its foundation,
and at the cost of his youngest he will set up its gates.
27 So the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame spread through the whole land.

25 But Joshua spared(A) Rahab the prostitute,(B) with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho(C)—and she lives among the Israelites to this day.
26 At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath:(D) “Cursed(E) before the Lord is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho:
“At the cost of his firstborn son
he will lay its foundations;
at the cost of his youngest
he will set up its gates.”(F)
27 So the Lord was with Joshua,(G) and his fame spread(H) throughout the land.
