“Behold, Damascus is about to be ^(C)removed from being a city
And will become a ^(D)fallen ruin.

² For You have turned a city into a ^(A)heap,
A ^(B)fortified city into a ruin;
A ^(C)palace of strangers is no longer a city,
It will never be rebuilt.

² Therefore behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“When I will cause an alarm of ^(A)war to be heard
Against ^(B)Rabbah of the sons of Ammon;
And it will become a desolate heap,
And her ^(C)towns will be set on fire.
Then Israel will take ^(D)possession of his possessors,”
Says the Lord.
