7 The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live among us. How can we make a treaty with you?”
8 They said to Joshua, “We are your servants.”
So Joshua said to them, “Who are you, and where do you come from?”
9 They said to him, “Because of the Name of the Lord your God, your servants have come from a land very far away. For we heard the report about him and all that he did in Egypt

7 The Israelites said to the Hivites,(A) “But perhaps you live near us, so how can we make a treaty(B) with you?”
8 “We are your servants,(C)” they said to Joshua.
But Joshua asked, “Who are you and where do you come from?”
9 They answered: “Your servants have come from a very distant country(D) because of the fame of the Lord your God. For we have heard reports(E) of him: all that he did in Egypt,(F)
