¹⁸ Anyone who rebels against your order and does not obey your words in all that you command him, will be put to death. Above all, be strong and courageous!”^(A)

²⁵ Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Be strong and courageous,^(A) for the Lord will do this to all the enemies you fight.”

² “As for me, I am going the way of all of the earth.^(A) Be strong and be courageous like a man,^{(B) 3} and keep your obligation to the Lord your God to walk in His ways and to keep His statutes, commands, ordinances, and decrees. This is written in the law of Moses, so that you will have success in everything you do^(C) and wherever you turn,

¹³ Then you will succeed if you carefully follow the statutes and ordinances the Lord commanded Moses for Israel.^(A) Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or discouraged.^(B)

²⁰ Then David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous,^(A) and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He won’t leave you or forsake you^(B) until all the work for the service of the Lord’s house is finished.
