¹³ Get up! Consecrate the people and say, ^(A)‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow; for thus says the Lord, God of Israel, “There are devoted things in your midst, O Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted things from among you.”

¹⁰ the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and ^(A)consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them ^(B)wash their garments

¹⁴ So Moses ^(A)went down from the mountain to the people and ^(B)consecrated the people; ^(C)and they washed their garments. ¹⁵ And he said to the people, “Be ready for the ^(D)third day; ^(E)do not go near a woman.”

^7 (A)Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.

¹⁸ And say to the people, ^(A)‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat, for you have wept in the hearing of the Lord, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat? ^(B)For it was better for us in Egypt.” Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat.

⁵ And he said, “Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. ^(A)Consecrate yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” And he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.
