^3 (A)Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our ^(B)common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you ^(C)contend earnestly for ^(D)the faith that was once for all time ^(E)handed down to ^(F)the ^[a]saints.

³ We ought always ^(A)to give thanks to God for you, ^(B)brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the ^(C)love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater.

¹⁵ not boasting ^(A)beyond our measure, that is, in ^(B)other people’s labors, but with the hope that as ^(C)your faith grows, we will be, ^[a]within our ^[b]domain, ^(D)enlarged even more by you,

²⁰ But you, ^(A)beloved, ^(B)building yourselves up on your most holy ^(C)faith, ^(D)praying in the Holy Spirit,

^12 (A)Fight the good fight of ^(B)faith; ^(C)take hold of the eternal life ^(D)to which you were called, and for which you made the good ^(E)confession in the presence of ^(F)many witnesses.
