15 Then the sons of Israel said to Yahweh, “We have sinned, so You, (A)do to us whatever seems good in Your eyes; only please deliver us this day.” 16 (B)So they removed the foreign gods from among them and served Yahweh; and [a](C)He could bear the trouble of Israel no longer.
17 Then the sons of Ammon were summoned, and they camped in Gilead. And the sons of Israel gathered together and camped in (D)Mizpah.

New International Version
15 But the Israelites said to the Lord, “We have sinned. Do with us whatever you think best,(A) but please rescue us now.” 16 Then they got rid of the foreign gods among them and served the Lord.(B) And he could bear Israel’s misery(C) no longer.(D)
17 When the Ammonites were called to arms and camped in Gilead, the Israelites assembled and camped at Mizpah.(E)
