Judges 15:2-4
New English Translation
2 Her father said, “I really thought[a] you absolutely despised[b] her, so I gave her to your best man. Her younger sister is more attractive than she is. Take her instead!”[c] 3 Samson said to them,[d] “This time I am justified in doing the Philistines harm!”[e] 4 Samson went and captured 300 jackals[f] and got some torches. He tied the jackals in pairs by their tails and then tied a torch to each pair.[g]

2 “I was so sure you hated her,” he said, “that I gave her to your companion.(A) Isn’t her younger sister more attractive? Take her instead.”
3 Samson said to them, “This time I have a right to get even with the Philistines; I will really harm them.” 4 So he went out and caught three hundred foxes(B) and tied them tail to tail in pairs. He then fastened a torch(C) to every pair of tails,
