10 Delilah said to Samson, “Oh, you deceived me! You lied to me! Now tell me please, how you can be bound?”

11 He told her, “If they only bind me with new ropes never used for work, then I will be weak and be like any other man.” 12 So Delilah took new ropes, tied him up with them and said to him, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” Yet while the ambush was waiting in the inner room, he snapped them from his arms like a thread.

10 Then Delilah said to Samson, “You have made a fool of me;(A) you lied to me. Come now, tell me how you can be tied.”

11 He said, “If anyone ties me securely with new ropes(B) that have never been used, I’ll become as weak as any other man.”

12 So Delilah took new ropes and tied him with them. Then, with men hidden in the room, she called to him, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!”(C) But he snapped the ropes off his arms as if they were threads.
