The priest answered, “You have nothing to worry about. The Lord is taking care of you on this trip.”

So the five men left and went to the town of Laish. They saw how the people there lived in security like the Sidonians. They were a peaceful, quiet people, with no argument with anyone; they had all they needed.[a] They lived far away from the Sidonians and had no dealings with any other people. When the five men returned to Zorah and Eshtaol, the people asked them what they had found out.

So the five men(B) left and came to Laish,(C) where they saw that the people were living in safety, like the Sidonians, at peace and secure.(D) And since their land lacked nothing, they were prosperous.[a] Also, they lived a long way from the Sidonians(E) and had no relationship with anyone else.[b]

When they returned to Zorah and Eshtaol, their fellow Danites asked them, “How did you find things?”
