17 Opposing them were the forces of Israel, 400,000 warriors strong.
18 The people of Israel went up to Bethel to ask of the True God who should press the first day’s attack.
Israelites: What tribe should lead us in battle against Benjamin?
God: Judah shall lead the attack.
19 The people of Israel rose up in the morning and encamped against Gibeah,

Judges 20:17-19
New International Version
17 Israel, apart from Benjamin, mustered four hundred thousand swordsmen, all of them fit for battle.
18 The Israelites went up to Bethel[a](A) and inquired of God.(B) They said, “Who of us is to go up first(C) to fight(D) against the Benjamites?”
The Lord replied, “Judah(E) shall go first.”
19 The next morning the Israelites got up and pitched camp near Gibeah.
