32 Therefore on that day he named him (A)Jerubbaal, that is to say, “Let Baal contend against him,” because he had torn down his altar.
33 Now all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the sons of the east assembled themselves; and they crossed over and camped in (B)the valley of Jezreel. 34 But (C)the Spirit of Yahweh clothed Gideon; and he (D)blew a trumpet, and the Abiezrites were called together to follow him.

New International Version
32 So because Gideon broke down Baal’s altar, they gave him the name Jerub-Baal[a](A) that day, saying, “Let Baal contend with him.”
33 Now all the Midianites, Amalekites(B) and other eastern peoples(C) joined forces and crossed over the Jordan and camped in the Valley of Jezreel.(D) 34 Then the Spirit of the Lord came on(E) Gideon, and he blew a trumpet,(F) summoning the Abiezrites(G) to follow him.
