Judges 6:4-6
Expanded Bible
4 They ·camped in the land [L encamped against them] and destroyed the crops that the Israelites had planted as far away as Gaza. They left ·nothing [no sustenance/living thing] for Israel to eat, and no sheep, cattle, or donkeys. 5 The Midianites came with their tents and their ·animals [livestock] ·like swarms of [as numerous as] locusts to ·ruin [ravage; lay waste] the land. There were so many people and camels they could not be counted. 6 Israel ·became very poor [or was weakened; L was brought low] because of the Midianites, so they cried out to the Lord.

New International Version
4 They camped on the land and ruined the crops(A) all the way to Gaza(B) and did not spare a living thing for Israel, neither sheep nor cattle nor donkeys. 5 They came up with their livestock and their tents like swarms of locusts.(C) It was impossible to count them or their camels;(D) they invaded the land to ravage it. 6 Midian so impoverished the Israelites that they cried out(E) to the Lord for help.
