5 When they invaded[a] with their cattle and tents, they were as thick[b] as locusts. Neither they nor their camels could be counted.[c] They came to devour[d] the land. 6 Israel was so severely weakened by Midian that the Israelites cried out to the Lord for help.

New International Version
5 They came up with their livestock and their tents like swarms of locusts.(A) It was impossible to count them or their camels;(B) they invaded the land to ravage it. 6 Midian so impoverished the Israelites that they cried out(C) to the Lord for help.
