The First Judge Frees Israel

⁹ But the sons of Israel cried out to the Lord, and the Lord raised up a deliverer for the sons of Israel to set them free, ^(A)Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.

⁷ Now it came about, when the sons of Israel cried out to the Lord on account of Midian,

¹⁰ Then the ^(A)sons of Israel cried out to the Lord, saying, “We have sinned against You, for indeed, we have abandoned our God and served the Baals.”
