¹⁷Blessed art thou, O eretz, when thy melech is a nobleman, and thy sarim (princes) eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!

¹⁸By much atzlut (slothfulness) the rafters falleth; and through idleness of the hands the bais leaketh.

¹⁹Lechem is made for laughter, and yayin maketh merry; but kesef answereth everything.

Ecclesiastes 10:17-19

New International Version

¹⁷Blessed is the land whose king is of noble birth
and whose princes eat at a proper time—
for strength and not for drunkenness.^(A)

¹⁸Through laziness, the rafters sag;
because of idle hands, the house leaks.^(B)

¹⁹A feast is made for laughter,
wine^(C) makes life merry,
and money is the answer for everything.
