“If his gift is a burnt offering(A) from the herd, he is to bring an unblemished male.(B) He must bring it to the entrance to the tent of meeting so that he[a] may be accepted by the Lord.(C) He is to lay his hand on(D) the head of the burnt offering so it can be accepted(E) on his behalf to make atonement for him.(F) He is to slaughter the bull before the Lord; Aaron’s sons the priests(G) are to present the blood(H) and sprinkle it(I) on all sides of the altar that is at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Then he must skin the burnt offering(J) and cut it into pieces.[b] The sons of Aaron the priest will prepare a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire. Aaron’s sons the priests are to arrange the pieces, the head, and the suet(K) on top of the burning wood on the altar. The offerer must wash its entrails(L) and shanks(M) with water. Then the priest will burn all of it on the altar as a burnt offering, a fire offering(N) of a pleasing aroma(O) to the Lord.

10 “But if his gift for a burnt offering is from the flock, from sheep or goats,(P) he is to present an unblemished male. 11 He will slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the Lord. Aaron’s sons the priests will sprinkle its blood against the altar on all sides. 12 He will cut the animal into pieces[c] with its head and its suet, and the priest will arrange them on top of the burning wood on the altar. 13 But he is to wash the entrails and shanks with water. The priest will then present all of it and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt offering, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

14 “If his gift to the Lord is a burnt offering of birds,(Q) he is to present his offering from the turtledoves(R) or young pigeons.[d](S) 15 Then the priest must bring it to the altar, and must twist off its head and burn it on the altar; its blood should be drained at the side of the altar.

31 Hezekiah concluded, “Now you are consecrated[a] to the Lord. Come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings to the Lord’s temple.” So the congregation brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and all those with willing hearts(A) brought burnt offerings. 32 The number of burnt offerings the congregation brought was 70 bulls, 100 rams, and 200 lambs; all these were for a burnt offering to the Lord. 33 Six hundred bulls and 3,000 sheep were consecrated.

34 However, since there were not enough priests, they weren’t able to skin all the burnt offerings, so their Levite brothers helped them(B) until the work was finished and until the priests consecrated themselves. For the Levites were more conscientious[b](C) to consecrate themselves than the priests were.(D) 35 Furthermore, the burnt offerings were abundant, along with the fat of the fellowship offerings(E) and with the drink offerings(F) for the burnt offering.
