8 Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, the head and the (A)suet over the wood which is on the fire that is on the altar. 9 Its (B)entrails, however, and its legs he shall wash with water. And (C)the priest shall offer up in smoke all of it on the altar for a burnt offering, an offering by fire of (D)a soothing aroma to the Lord.
10 ‘But if his offering is from the flock, of the sheep or of the goats, for a burnt offering, he shall offer it a (E)male without defect.

8 Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, including the head and the fat,(A) on the wood(B) that is burning on the altar. 9 You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water,(C) and the priest is to burn all of it(D) on the altar.(E) It is a burnt offering,(F) a food offering,(G) an aroma pleasing to the Lord.(H)
10 “‘If the offering is a burnt offering from the flock, from either the sheep(I) or the goats,(J) you are to offer a male without defect.
