12 He shall take a (A)firepan full of coals of fire from upon the altar before the Lord and [a]two handfuls of finely ground (B)sweet incense, and bring it inside the veil. 13 He shall put the incense on the fire before the Lord, so that the cloud of incense may cover the (C)atoning cover that is on the ark of the testimony, (D)otherwise he will die.

12 He is to take a censer full of burning coals(A) from the altar before the Lord and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense(B) and take them behind the curtain. 13 He is to put the incense on the fire before the Lord, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover(C) above the tablets of the covenant law, so that he will not die.(D)
