An Annual Atonement

²⁹ “This shall be a permanent statute for you: ^(A)in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall humble ^[a]yourselves and not ^(B)do any work, whether the native, or the stranger who resides among you;

⁹ You shall then sound a ram’s horn ^[a]abroad on ^(A)the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall sound a horn all through your land.

⁷ ‘Then on ^(A)the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy assembly, and you shall humble yourselves; you shall not do any work.
