29 “This shall be a permanent statute for you: (A)in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall humble your souls and not (B)do any work, whether the native, or the alien who sojourns among you; 30 for it is on this day that [a]atonement shall be made for you to (C)cleanse you; you will be clean from all your sins before the Lord. 31 It is to be a sabbath of solemn rest for you, that you may (D)humble your souls; it is a permanent statute.

New International Version
29 “This is to be a lasting ordinance(A) for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month(B) you must deny yourselves[a](C) and not do any work(D)—whether native-born(E) or a foreigner residing among you— 30 because on this day atonement will be made(F) for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the Lord, you will be clean from all your sins.(G) 31 It is a day of sabbath rest, and you must deny yourselves;(H) it is a lasting ordinance.(I)
