^5 [a]The reason is so that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they were sacrificing in the open field, that they may bring them in to the Lord, at the doorway of the tent of meeting to the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace offerings to the Lord.

⁸⁸ and all the oxen for the sacrifice of peace offerings 24 bulls, all the rams 60, the male goats 60, the male lambs one year old 60. ^(A)This was the dedication offering for the altar after it was anointed.

⁸ And ^(A)you shall go down before me to Gilgal; and behold, I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and ^(B)sacrifice peace offerings. ^(C)You shall wait seven days until I come to you and show you what you should do.”

¹⁷ So they brought in the ark of the Lord and set it ^(A)in its place inside the tent which David had pitched for it; and ^(B)David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.

¹⁵ Then ^(A)Solomon awoke, and behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and made peace offerings, and ^(B)made a feast for all his servants.

⁶³ Solomon offered for the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to the Lord, 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. ^(A)So the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord. ⁶⁴ On the same day the king consecrated the middle of the court that was before the house of the Lord, because there he ^[a]offered the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat of the peace offerings; for ^(B)the bronze altar that was before the Lord was too small to hold the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat of the peace offerings.

A Tent for the Ark

16 And they brought in the ark of God and ^(A)placed it inside the tent which David had pitched for it, and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.
