The Produce of Fruit Trees
23 “‘When you enter the land and plant any fruit tree,[d] you must consider its fruit to be forbidden.[e] Three years it will be forbidden to you;[f] it must not be eaten. 24 In the fourth year all its fruit will be holy, praise offerings[g] to the Lord.
Leviticus 19:22-24 New International Version (NIV)
22 With the ram of the guilt offering the priest is to make atonement for him before the Lord for the sin he has committed, and his sin will be forgiven.
23 “‘When you enter the land and plant any kind of fruit tree, regard its fruit as forbidden.[a] For three years you are to consider it forbidden[b]; it must not be eaten. 24 In the fourth year all its fruit will be holy, an offering of praise to the Lord.
Leviticus 19:22-24 King James Version (KJV)
22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the Lord for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.
23 And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.
24 But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the Lord withal.
