Leviticus 19:27-29

International Standard Version

²⁷“You are not to cut your hair in ritualistic patterns^[a] on your head or deface the edges of your beard.

²⁸“You are not to make incisions in your flesh on account of the dead nor submit to cuts or tattoos. I am the Lord.

²⁹“You are not to defile your daughter by engaging her in prostitution so the land won’t become filled with wickedness.

²⁷“‘Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.^(A)

²⁸“‘Do not cut^(B) your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord.

²⁹“‘Do not degrade your daughter by making her a prostitute,^(C) or the land will turn to prostitution and be filled with wickedness.^(D)
