14 “If you are offering from the first of your harvest, remove the kernels from a fresh ear, crush and roast them, then offer them to the Lord.

  2. Leviticus 2:13 seasoned with salt. In many of the languages of the ancient Near East, the word salt is a homonym of the word good. It was used symbolically for goodness in making covenants.
