Leviticus 22:7-9

7 Then, when the sun sets, he shall be clean.(A) Only then may he eat of the sacred offerings, for they are his food. 8 [a]He shall not make himself unclean by eating of any animal that has died of itself or has been killed by wild beasts.(B) I am the Lord.
9 They shall keep my charge so that they will not bear the punishment in this matter and die(C) for their profanation. I am the Lord who makes them holy.

7 When the sun goes down, he will be clean, and after that he may eat the sacred offerings, for they are his food.(A) 8 He must not eat anything found dead(B) or torn by wild animals,(C) and so become unclean(D) through it. I am the Lord.(E)
9 “‘The priests are to perform my service(F) in such a way that they do not become guilty(G) and die(H) for treating it with contempt. I am the Lord, who makes them holy.(I)
